Wind Turbine Safari is a brand-new way to experience Copenhagen – a boat tour that brings you up close to the iconic offshore turbines at Middelgrunden and offers a rare insight into the community-driven energy that powers them.

On board, you’ll be guided by volunteers from Middelgrunden Wind Turbine Cooperative – people who are themselves part of the world’s largest wind turbine co‑operative. They share stories of community spirit, pioneering ambition, and how 8,000 Copenhageners joined forces to create one of the world’s most recognised examples of citizen-owned renewable energy. These are stories that make the tour both engaging and vividly alive.

The experience is designed for curious locals, international visitors, and anyone seeking a different kind of adventure on the water. You’ll enjoy classic sightseeing combined with a tangible look into the green transition – told right where it unfolds, surrounded by sea air, open horizons, and the city skyline behind you.

The tour lasts around two hours, with seating available in a heated cabin and the option to purchase food on board.
